Hassaan Ebrahim
Hassaan Ebrahim is an educator with expertise in systems strategy, school design, and school finance. Hassaan is a doctoral candidate in the Doctor of Education Leadership program at the Harvard Graduate School of Education and serves as a research assistant for ISCL, supporting Senior Fellow Dr. Kyla Johnson-Trammell.
A proud California native, Hassaan's first and favorite role in education was as a high school math teacher in his hometown of San Jose. Since then, he has held positions across the education ecosystem, including at the Office of the Deputy Mayor for Education in Washington, D.C., and at the U.S. Department of Education. Most recently, Hassaan worked with district and state leaders around the country as a consultant with Education Resource Strategies (ERS), a Massachusetts-based nonprofit. His work at ERS included supporting district leaders in Detroit Public Schools in redesigning high schools to increase access to career pathways and improve postsecondary readiness, and in Albuquerque Public Schools in implementing strategic and need-driven budgeting practices.
Hassaan has a Master in Public Policy from the Harvard Kennedy School and a B.S. in neuroscience from the University of Southern California.
