Christian Rhodes serves as Chief National Impact Officer at Harlem Children's Zone, where he leads the National Impact Team in advancing cradle-to-career strategies across the country. He drives this work through four core areas for national change: William Julius Wilson Institute (WJWI), Practitioners Institute, Wealth Builds National Hub, and Policy, working to scale what works, influence systems, and strengthen place-based partnerships nationwide.

Since joining HCZ in 2022, Christian has transformed WJWI into a nationally recognized platform, supporting over 55 communities and helping unlock nearly $250 million in public and private investment. He co-designed Maryland's landmark ENOUGH Act and launched national initiatives such as the Education Leaders Design Fellowship and Mayors' Neighborhood Academy.

Previously, Christian served as Senior Advisor to U.S. Secretary of Education Dr. Miguel Cardona and Chief of Staff for the Office of Elementary and Secondary Education, where he led key initiatives including the distribution of $122 billion in American Rescue Plan funding. He also served as Chief of Staff for Prince George's County Public Schools and advised superintendents, mayors, governors, and other education leaders nationwide.

Christian is a Senior Fellow with Harvard's EdRedesign Lab and a graduate of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and American University. With over 20 years of experience, he is a trusted leader in education policy and systems change.
